WARM AND FRIENDLY CITY COUNCIL KICKOFF ON A HOT LABOR DAY

Thanks to the 100+ friends, neighbors and family members who turned out yesterday for the formal kickoff of my campaign for Takoma Park City Council. The crowd was mainly from Takoma Park’s Ward One, with a smattering from elsewhere in the City, plus a handful of pals, former work colleagues and interlopers from DC, Virginia and even New Jersey (my beloved in-laws, of course!).

With stirring remarks from our State Senator (and future Congressman) Jamie Raskin, and a simultaneously sweet and irreverent introduction from generous host Lew Morris, I couldn’t have asked for more. But I got it anyway – a warm political and personal embrace on a hot day from a great bunch of supporters. Check out the great photos by my neighbor Jeff MacMillan.

The election is less than two months away (November 3), and I now have a full schedule of meet and greet events in the Ward. Check the Calendar section of this website for details.
